Equity Book Study

The NCSPA Equity Committee is hosting a book study!
Participants will read and discuss Schooltalk by Mica Pollock

Schooltalk (2017) offers education communities foundational support for learning and action. Use Schooltalk as an onramp to Everyday Antiracism or any other professional development tool. We ask one question as an onramp to improving student supports: Do our communications help support equity, or not? And by “equity,” we mean effort to better support the full human talent development of every student and all groups of students."

  • There will be two book discussion groups: one in the morning (8:30 AM) and one in the evening (7:00 PM).
  • There are 4 sessions across 4 dates: September 8, September 22, October 13, October 27
  • This is free for members and nonmembers (other than purchasing the book).
